Small bulbs

Is it better to plant small bulbs, crocus and allium azureum, in pots first and then plant out once growing, or is it ok to plant straight into the ground?

They can go straight into the ground. Putting some in pots is useful for filling in gaps in Spring, which may not be obvious now.
