Is my rose ill or just losing leaves for winter?

Sorry if this is a silly question!
I have type of species rose in my garden - its leaves are going yellow and brown
Is this normal for this time of year? Is it simply losing leaves for the winter or is it ill in some way?
I wasn't sure, as there isnt really anything else going into autumn mode in my garden yet (that I have noticed)
Please advise!
