I had no idea that loofahs were edible!   

That whole section was really interesting.  I'd never seen a snake gourd before.

It was. Very surprised by it myself. I was wondering what she does with so many edibles, chilies etc. Preserves it is some way. Chilie chutney

I didn't either, so it was quite interesting. Lily bulbs and Lotus roots are often used in cuisines and soups in the far east.
