Rust on hawthorn

Hi i have just returned from a two week holiday and noticed that a hawthorn at the bottom of the garden has lost 50 % of its foliage,and that there are brown spots on the remaining leaves ,is this rust if so what should I do about it? Ps I was sitting just in front of Adam Frost on a beach in in zante really wanted to say hello but couldn't bring myself to disturb him. Cheers

I would do nothing, the leaves will all fall soon with a new crop next year.
