Good morning.  Bright and sunny here but feeling fresh at 15C but warming up to 27C later so that's OK.

We're off to Olonne for a forum of "associations" to see if we can find Spanish classes for this year then this pm I have a date with a jig saw and a piece of MDF to cut an L shaped desk top for Possum for her new apartment or I might leave it till tomorrow am when OH is out playing golf and not offering "help".

No grass to cut here tho some of the weedy yellow flowers are getting a few inches tall again.   Still lots of tomatoes to process and spuds to harvest and pumpkins and squashes to monitor.  Waiting for cooler days to sow some pak choi and so on.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

@Obelixx, I know you to be a very clever lady, but can I ask you to , if possible , cut your MDF outside and wherever you cut it, use a very good face mask.
    27C is perfect, we've got a cloudy 21C forecast.

Good morning and welcome to September.
I have an end-of-Summer party today at a friends. It has become an annual tradition for this first weekend in September and it is a ‘festival’ theme: food, drink, live music, a DJ set and more drink - all outside with camping in the garden on offer too (no camping for me, I think there is an age-limit when camping goes from fun to uncomfortable... or maybe I just don’t drink enough...).
It is overcast here today, but supposed to be warm-ish at least.
My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • Sounds like fun AuntyRach ... enjoy  B)

Sounds good fun Aunty Rach.  We’re out at a party tonight too - a gardening friend’s big-five-oh.  I had ordered her a hand fork (what else could a girl want 🤪) as a gift, which was due to be delivered yesterday according to the numerous text messages and emails the courier sent me.  It didn’t turn up, and has now been reallocated to Monday - useless 🤯.

Apart from that, a bit of garden wandering, and a short bike ride are on the cards.  But first, more tea ☕️ and a sausage sandwich 🥪

I've crossed the 11am threshold, but I fancy some caffeine, so I've stopped for a wee break.
Odd day, very muggy , mostly cloudy with some hazy sun squeezing through every now and again.
    Devon.
  • I've been down to W'rose and come back with a piece of belly of pork to roast tomorrow ...and some Maris Pipers for proper roasties ... I'll make sage and onion stuffing, and we've got sweetcorn and runner beans for veg  :)

  • @Lily Pilly   If I prep some roasties can I keep them in your freezer please?  Mine's full of runner beans, courgettes, blackberries, tomatoes, vine leaves, sweet corn ... etc etc etc ...
