Hi there - does anyone know of anyone growing these fantastic plants commercially or as a hobby? I've failed - repeatedly - ro raise one from seed and would love one in my tropically themed garden!

Hi. That's definitely a cultivated Manihot  ( manioc ), I have a wild 5 lobed 3 ft tall 6 yr old Wild variety.. different leaf but same family. An old friend of mine grew 4 from seeds she picked up in a street in sorrento in 2011. I'll attach a pic for you... 😃
