Unusual plant / flower - can someone identify it ?

I came across this 5ft tall flowering plant in my local church graveyard, August, Warwickshire.

Can anyone tell me what it is ?!?

Thanks.

Generally biennials ; rosette grows the first year and then flowers the second ; commonly seen on wasteground .

    PLEASE! don't 'decry' your own garden ; it's a nature reserve really !! ;)

Parts of it are but let's just say it's a work in (very slow) progress.
I tend to leave things that seed themselves for two reasons. 1.They like it there and 2. I have a lot of ground to cover.  :)
