Can you identify this plant I am growing

I thought I was planting Eycolyptus trees but someone said that is not what they are!!

Maybe that "someone" said they were not Eycolyptus but Eucalyptus? Not a gardening problem but a spelling problem.

Thanks for the photo. They don't look like Eucalyptus to me. Where did you get them from? Did they not come with a label? Did you sow them? Does the foliage have any particular smell?

they look like echium to me.

I was given some seeds which had the aroma of eucalyptus and they came from some 30' trees.  I am sure they didn't get mixed up with some other seeds. I have some left so will try again. These plants however are doing great in my greenhouse just don't know what they are. Do you know?

Had a look at echium different leaves here is a close up of some larger ones I planted on

nutcutlet

there's also a hint of Oenothera in places but not Eucalyptus or any sort of tree. No tree starts with a basal rosette of leaves
