Thank you Dovefromabove that is definitely what it is. Im going to have to wait til it dies off to uproot it but I'm going to collect some seeds and plant them in the garden as the bees certainly love it !
It is a bit of a thug and I think spreads by underground rhizommes, very difficult to get rid of once you've got it so be a bit careful where you plant it.
