Looks good RK. It'll let in lots of light, and gives you a good feature in winter too
I've seen them cloud pruned quite often. They look superb like that. I pass one up north when I go in that direction to walk - it's against the wall of a cottage. I always mean to take a pic, but always forget

It'll definitely be much easier to maintain like this.
I may do the same to the other side since most of the new growth is on rather old twiggy branches. Lots of dead stuff on that side too, so might as well tidy the whole thing up.
