Can’t find anything about this rose?

Three years ago, when I was volunteering at my local Flower Show, I was tidying up at the end of the show. In a 3 stem vase class I smelled a rose that was so fragrant that I thought I would take a stem home and try and get it to root. Three years later it has produced its first flower 😄. I still have the label that was with it but can’t find anything about it in the internet.  I’ve attached a pic of the rose and the label. Anyone help? @Marlorena would you be able to enlighten me? Thank you

  • Hi Obelixx, I discounted that one as it states no fragrance and cream and pink (looks peachy in pic) whereas mine is heavily scented and very pink??? And who is Admiral Roddwez on the label ... ooh is that the name of the exhibitor? :)

You could contact the nursery and ask them about theirs and explain about yours.

You could also try these people - http://www.therosesociety.org.uk/

RV Roger in the first link.  Says they're nurserymen who supply that rose.

The rose you have is 'Admiral Rodney'.. not 'Julia's Kiss'....   'AR' was introduced here around 1973, and it's highly fragrant... a lovely rose... so glad you have it...

I should add that it was a top exhibition/show rose... I say 'was' because it has fallen out of favour somewhat because the rose has been over propagated for this purpose and has suffered deterioration as a result...  I've never grown it myself though...
