Curious to know the name of this leafy plant growing tall in my patch

    A sweet chestnut sapling? If it is that, they are very large trees. You woudn't want it growing that close to the house. Or in fact any tree.

    Walnut also has long leaves like that. Either way, too close to house, remove asap.
