Plant ID - is it a daylily?

I dug these up today thinking they were alliums but they're clearly not. Are they Daylilies?

Certainly not alliums. Day lilies do have tubers like that.

I would say Iris Foetidessima (not sure of spelling!)

My Iris foetidissima has much chunkier leaves than that.

I am pretty sure they are daylillies. I have handled enough of them. They are very hardy and tolerate drought, stick the tubers in a bucket of water and they start growing again.
