Another ID please... Unknown seedlings/weeds?

Howdy folks

I've noticed in a few of my pots what looks like a fine covering of these growing.

The roots seem quite fine and shallow - no idea what it is - suggestions?

This is them growing in a pot with my very young Kojo-no Mai - should I be concerned?

    No need for concern, just flick them about they come out and die.  You’ll always get little weeds in pots.  What is that black stuff in the pot?

    They could be anything at this size..........you could wait until they're first true leaves to grow to try to identify.

    Thanks - A sign of fertile soil I guess!

    What black stuff? The only other things in there are compost, vermiculite and a few dead leaves!

    Hi Lyn  :) RaspberryKiller, using home made compost I often get seedlings coming up. Just pull out what you don't want.
