Mole Deterrent

I had a garden makeover in May this year & these appeared next to a raised bed a few weeks ago. I assume they’re mole hills. I flattened them down when they first appeared but they ‘popped’ up again a few days later. I’ve repeated this several times over the last 3-4 weeks.
If a mole is the culprit does anyone know of any humane deterrents?

Buy a couple of big bottles of those cheap brown pickled onions. The big smelly ones.

Rootle around in the soil of each tump until you find the tunnel. It will be just a little wider than the size of the pickled onions.

Push three pickled onions down each tunnel and re cover with the soil from the tump.

    Wait.

The moles will not come back.

Deterrents usually just send them off on another track.
