I know what you mean Nettie, I grow quite a lot of those just for the bees and they do get very tatty. If you’re fed up with you could cut it down to the ground, it will come up again next year, they also self seed you you could see some little ones next Spring.
You can easily save some seeds as well, they good for germinating, then you’ll be sure to have some next year. Make sure they are black on the plant before you pick them off.
