Anyone grow Minicole cabbages?

I met a lovely lady at Hampton when I was checking out the fruit and veg, we had a very interesting conversation including my issues with cabbages. Since I grow my own veg to save waste (pick what I want, when I want) I have never bothered with cabbages, too big and don't freeze. She suggested I try Minicole so I have some seeds now but this weather is making me wonder about trying to beat the odds and start them off this late.
Has anyone grown this variety? Will the heat upset them? I'm banking on a long autumn and have plenty of seeds for next spring so sowing some now and picking them in December would be great. What does anyone think?
