Can you help identify these please?

Both of these are from the wildflower packet I sowed in April, any help much appreciated!







The one below is the one with white star shaped flowers.

    First one, I think, is annual aster, Callistephus.

    might be Carthamnus tinctorius

    Nutcutlet is 'spot-on' ; definitely Carthamus tinctorius , a medicinal plant and a member of the Asteraceae family .
    There is also a pale-yellow form ; very nice !
