Echinacea

Newbie here!
A few weeks ago I planted an echinacea in my garden. I have my first flower (so pretty) and 3 more buds.
My question is whether the plant "bushes out" over time? The plant consists of one main stem with 4 buds and leaves growing from it.

Yes. I had (I think) about 3 flowers on a single stem the first year, and maybe 20-25 flowers on multiple stems the second. This year it has not got any bigger, but I did move it when dormant and they're not supposed to like being moved. It didn't deteriorate, at least.

Brilliant! I can't wait to have a bush of them as they are so beautiful.
    Thank you

I have White Swan and Green Envy (the latter is taking longer, but still increasing) - as you can see here, they take a while to get to their ultimate size.
