POtatoes

Hi All
The potatoes that grow at the top of the foliage (guessing where the flowers were) - should I just leave them, cut them off and if they are left in the soil will they produce a plant?  Do they limit underground potato growth?
Thanks
Bob

Hi bobloes, they are the fruiting bodies of the plant. Potatoes are the same family as tomatoes but the fruit is poisonous! It is possible to grow new plants from these seeds but personally I would rather the plant concentrated on giving me more edible potatoes.

Not an expert on potatoes so someone will probably be able to give you a bit more information.
