Mystery plant

I grew this from a hard black seed from Kirkcudbright in 2008. What is it please ?

    It looks like a tree peony.
     Googleimages of  tree peony seed pod, and see if that looks like the seed and its pod.

    Looks like tree peony to me too  :)

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • A photo on Google of one at Holkham Hall Norfolk seems to confirm it is Paeoni delavayi v. lutea. A yellow flower. Think I’ll pop it in a border and pamper it a bit. Thanks for the leads.
