Help with Azalea please!

as much as I love this weather my garden looks terrible ! I can deal with most of the plants but after a week away ive come home to a very sad looking beauiful when in flower azalea..never had any prior problems always looked good all year round but it now looks very very sad, its obviously been burnt by the sun, I will continue to water it , can anyone offer any advice?

    Hello nrp. I think you are already doing all that can be done. I don't think you are alone in watching precious plants struggling in this weather. Hate to say it but I wish it would rain.

    Im afraid you will have water it with tap water until it rains. It will survive one a few times of non acid water but it might not survive no water at all. Mine is suffering too, i gave it the last of the water in the butt, hoping for rain now.

    FYI I have six different azeleas that I have watered with tap water (hard water area) all season. They are all newly established. Are you watering enough? I do it twice a day at present

    Thanks everyone! Looks like we are all in the same boat weather wise I hate to say it too but rain is what we need although my palm trees look healthy! Everything else looks sad and miserable! Lawns especially all my green has gone yellow/orange but so has everybodies elses , no rain is coming soon so hang on in there folks, fingers crossed etc etc happy gardening cause thats were im going shortly !

    Will be keeping my eye on it, I feel so sorry for it it was beauiful and green and plump , now its really sad, it will get plenty of water and love and attention!
