I am Groot.......

........ I have a small oak growing in my garden and found some alien looking beasts that I identified myself (oak slug sawfly larvae). While I was searching for more larvae I found three embryo Groots. Anyone know what they really are? Any answers much appreciated.

Yep as my post states I've identified the oak sawfly larvae.

It's the baby Groot I'm clueless about. Any ideas?

I dint know what a groot is, if you don’t like the look of it, pick it off.

I like the look of it, it's fascinating. I just don't know what it is and have exhausted ideas to search google.

@Isherbert, You could try contacting the Forestry Commision and see if they can help identify it, or maybe the RHS could help.
