Bell peppers

Was surprised to see these this morning as I've never grown anything this successfully before. Only noticedar them when I turned the pot around. Imy sure there'
Scotch bonnets in there somewhere too. So when will these be ready to picknow and will I see more?

Are scotch bonnets slower to appear than sweet pepper?

What did you actually plant? Capsicum or chilli? Chillies usually mature earlier than capsicum because they're considerably smaller.

They’re looking good. I’ve found that capsicum and chillis can take a while to ripen. But if this hot weather keeps up, might be quicker this year. I tend to pick a few of the chillis and peppers green so the plant will produce more.

I’ve never had a massive crop of capsicum, maybe 4 or 5 decent sized peppers per plant, but some of the chillis have been prolific.

I’ve tried growing mini ‘snack’ peppers this year plus some normal yellow capsicum. Plus 4 kinds of chillis. All of them starting to set peppers nicely. Fingers crossed they ripen.

All looking good. In this topsy turvy weather, yours are all well ahead of mine!

These look great. I am keen to grow them year round. Do you think that artificial lighting might be enough to get this result?

I usually grow green ones but like to leave them until they turn red. This year I am also growing some white ones for a change, not ready yet, can’t wait to try them.

I'm not sure. I think I threw a bunch of scotch bonnet seeds that I had with some sweet peppers in the mixed. Maybe it's a hybrid. We will see 😊
