Persimmons and Hollyhocks

I brought both of these on from seed planted in Feb this year, thinking they wouldn't actually flower till next year. I'm sure I read this somewhere, but both are now in flower, and really good strong plants.

Some hollyhocks will flower first year from an early sowing.  Peaches and dreams is quite reliably a first year flowerer.

I wonder if Nispero fruit trees would grow in the UK.They are delicious, and the bees go mad for the blossom.
