A few problems with blackcurrants, scorching?

I don’t know if my blackcurrants are ready, I think they are normally a bit bigger, but Mr. Blackbird has made a move, so I had better make mine.
One bush, I didn’t notice at the time, but I think the last storm took about a third of it out, and the branches were laying on the floor withering. I have cut these out.
This has exposed the remaining fruit to the sun, and the berries look scorched and brown, just on the south/west side.
should I use these as normal for jams etc are they ok? or leave them on the bush for Mr Blackbird? (though he looks fat enough to me).

Have to say, they don’t sound very plumptious and delicious. I’d leave them for Mr. B. Though, knowing birds, he’s probably leaving them for you.🙂
Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
