Help identifying a flower/ weed?

Hello - this is my first post - hope it is in the correct location. Hoping someone can help me identify this plant - am not sure if it a flower or a weed that needs to be pulled up. Thanks in advance!

    looks like a poppy

    The photo's a bit small but it looks like an oriental (perennial) poppy which is just about to flower.  A keeper!
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
