Contact a lawyer - we have a similar situation where I work. Long story so I won't bore you, but there is a period of time you can legally hold goods for, until you get a resolution, then they become yours. Worth a wee chat with a lawyer to see what's what

We had to do a similar thing when a client didn't pay their livery bill. We parked the tractor in front of her trailer,because she may have appeared one night and taken it. It's still ongoing, but we were within our rights legally to do that. They're never gonna pay, so at least we have the value of it to put against the debt. Good luck with it - horrible situation,but hopefully you can get some resolution
