Campsis vine

Hi there -

I planted a campsis vine three years ago and altho' it's doing well, it's never flowered... any ideas or suggestions to help get it to flower would be welcome. Thanx

I find that it needs a lot of sun ... regular feeds of tomato food also encourage it.

  • Thanks Dove, I shall try some tomorite. I've moved it already to a sunnier spot.

Is it in a container ?  If so it needs to be large, John Innes No 3 plus some added grit.
And lots of water ... mine gets a couple of gallons most days in the summer.

  • Thanks - it is in a container but it is a large one. The whole garden is heavily planted and it's thoroughly watered every day. It's fed about twice a week at this time of year.
  • Today - Vine still flourishing but STILL!!! no sign of flowers.
    Any advice welcome!
