Apple leaves turned yellow

The leaves on my lovely young Egremont Russet tree have started to turn yellow and drop off. This also happened last year, but as I'd only just planted it I thought it was maybe transplant shock. Is this apple scab?

more likely water stress, if its only been in a year you really need to water it in this type of weather, mine have been in two years and i'm still giving them a soak one a week.

and also apple scab is on the fruits not the leaves.

Thanks i'll up the watering - i've been keeping up with it regularly but perhaps just not enough. Strangely my Discovery Apple tree which is next to it is fine, but perhaps it's root system is better
