Lots of these ?

I have lots of these plants because I keep dividing them. The flowers are a nice bright orange and last some time. When I divide them they are either bulbs or corms.
Can you name this plant and how to cultivate the right way. The leaves die back in winter.

Name now changed to Crocosmia...but common name Montbretia often still used......there are many  beautiful named cultivars.
Can be very invasive.

Trecanna nursery in Cornwall sells many named cultivar..See..

They are good to lift and give away the bulbs if they get out of hand. Mine are just coming out. I do love the red ones.

That's the colour (red with orange centre) that I have Fire . Mine are in a small bed under trees so have to fight to survive so not "yet" taking over.😁

It is the one plant (apart from knotweed etc) that you shouldn't put in the council green bin or on your compost heap.....................
