The shot of the sea and the grapevines made me moan out loud. I really need to get to the sea very soon.

I understand what you're saying, Fire.  Few things are as magical and magnetic as a blue, glistening sea.

Lovely photos, Phaidra.  I'm not sure how I feel about those padlocks.  Perhaps we're all a bit in love with love; why should the Austrians be any different?

I'm attaching some photos from the stunning Santorini.

    They're beautiful, Lyn.
The second οne reminds me of a place in northern Greece, called Meteora.

Beautiful, however did they build these little churches into the rock high up in mountains.  And to get the materials up there, no lorries, all horse and carts.

She drove up there, she didn’t trust the mini bus she said it was like the Worst Roads TV programmes, but she did so very brave girl.

I have climbed up there on foot and I know how difficult it is.  They must've had amazing faith, commitment and determination.

A different world; in this world and hardly of it.  Naturally, it's a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Your daughter sounds very wise, Lyn.  Trust yourself only!

Sam, I knew I had a photo of Santorini from the air but I couldn't quite find it.  Determination has, finally, paid off.  I have!

Late in March, my Godson married a Greek girl from Thessaloniki and we were, happily, invited.  They met at Imperial College, London and wanted a "quiet" wedding in London but, luckily, her parents were having none of that!  So we had a wonderful long weekend there and enjoyed every minute of the wedding and every part of that gorgeous city.

We shall visit again but in summer!
