Planting established shrubs in a heatwave is always likely to be a problem.
Give them gallons of water, at least weekly.
    Woke up again
    To my chagrin
    Getting sick and tired of
    Feeling sick and tired again
  • Thankyou for your advice I'll try that
  • Hi punk doc, you don't think they have a disease then? Just that they may need more water? Thanks

They just have a few yellow leaves, Jen,  and will drop those. It's perfectly normal. All evergreens will drop some foliage [at almost any point during the year] but those are mature specimens which are harder to get established, especially  during this very hot spell. They're just a little stressed with the heat - like some humans  ;)

Follow doc's advice - plenty of water, especially through the summer. They'll recover no problem - they're tough shrubs - and will be looking much better by autumn   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Fairygirl - thankyou so much for the advice, I'll stop worrying now 😃
