I work near a canal lots of abandoned overgrown areas but all the buddleia bushes in the area are a haven for wildlife so they are alright in my eyes it's a pleasure to see and hear all the bees and butterflies feeding on them!
Propagating Buddleia? It does not need any real encouragement. I have just taken cuttings and put them in a jam jar of water. There are Buddleias growing out of the top of walls on platforms in Crewe Station. They are probably a real difficulty to stop the roots damaging the masonry and the rail tracks. It must have a cost, yes they are good for wild life but I would like to make sure the station wall does not collapse.
