If the powers that be are so concerned by the shrub, why don't they ban the selling of it?

I work near a canal lots of abandoned overgrown areas but all the buddleia bushes in the area are a haven for wildlife so they are alright in my eyes it's a pleasure to see and hear all the bees and butterflies feeding on them!

Propagating Buddleia?  It does not need any real encouragement. I have just taken cuttings and put them in a jam jar of water.
There are  Buddleias growing out of the top of walls on platforms in Crewe Station. They are probably a real difficulty to stop the roots damaging the masonry and the rail tracks.
It must have a cost, yes they are good for wild life but I would like to make sure the station wall does not collapse.

It seems that things have to get very extreme before things (anything) are banned outright. Skunk Cabbage is still available to buy.
