Sorbus sheerwater?

Now they are building houses behind and I am losing a view I would like plant a tree to partially screen and have narrowed it down to a sorbus sheerwater.
Does anyone have one or another tree that's not too tall and teardropped shaped.
The garden is South West facing and with walls, garages and house the wind can be turbulent at times.
I am hoping to buy a 7 or 8ft tree and plant about 2m or so from the boundary in the small raised bed in the centre

most sorbus are agreeable garden trees.    i might suggest Birch for a 'wispy' cover if you want to let some light through but still have a little light cover.

Thanks. Had thought about birch but like the idea of berries that might attract the birds. As a new build development  still in progress they are staying away but I can hear plenty at 4 am!
