Pruning / Light Trim Viburnum

Hi, is this shrub a Viburnum?. It has white flowers in winter and black berries, and is it too late to give it a light trim. I dont want to cut back too much as its bare inside..

It's a viburnum tinus. I have cut mine down to just a trunk before now and will regrow.
Don't think there is a bad time to prune this shrub but water well after.
One bad winter the whole top died I had it sort of cloud pruned so you could see bare stems and I could plant underneath. Just cut off the dead stems and it regrew. In fact it sprouts sovreadily it's difficult to stop it!

I branched up one of ours in spring, it's more umbrella than ball now and permits underplanting.   Be aware it might eventually reach 5m tall and similar diameter.   Now is a good time to prune but dont prune in autumn, or you'll miss out on winter flower.
