Strange what some people like and others don’t, my mum, my daughter and myself all had to put those narcissus that you can buy for Christmas, Paper Whites, outdoors, we all think they smell of dog poo!
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Sense of smell is a strange thing, a lot is probably down to genetics.
Some people can smell freesias, others can't.
I love the scent of Hyacinths (until they start to go over), but OH hates it.

    The weirdest one is asparagus.
Some people have a gene that makes their wee smell odd when they eat it, others don't. A different gene decides whether you can smell the odd smell or not.

So you can have smelly wee and not know about it, or have normal wee and know when the person before you in the bathroom ate asparagus!
l like the taste of asparagus, but have almost stopped eating it because I don't enjoy the effect!

If it's not too personal a question, what does it smell of?

Not like anything readily familiar, sort of warm rotting vegetables probably, but not a mouldy smell...
