  • I took a few rose cuttings last year.one of the roses has turned out to be a rhapsody in blue and (I believe) a new dawn on the same plant!!!!.this is definitely one cutting.i can't work out how that could have happened.any help would be appreciated.thank you.

    Maybe one of the cuttings was from a sucker from the root graft, they are always different from the named rose. But if these are on the same cutting wow.

    No, you've got two different roses going on there, you can tell by the foliage.  You must have put the two cuttings very close together, maybe forgot what you did at the time, it's easily done, and they've both rooted and now fused together at the root.   You will have to separate them out at some point, because New Dawn is a monster and will just smother the other one...

  • Well,thank you both for taking the time to reply.i did put the cuttings for each rose into different pots.!!!!.but I obviously did something wrong somewhere.as all of my other cuttings were ok.i might just leave it now.to see what happens!!!!.once again ,thank you.john
