What is this little beauty?

This pretty little thing has popped up from nowhere.  I have no blue around so it stands out. Would anyone know what it is? Thanks in advance.

    Gentian?
    We're on clay here so never see them 'live'

    I don't think this is Gentian.  I don't believe any variety has fur and the flowers tend to be more pointed.  It looks more like Borage; it might be Phacelia (Campanularia?).

    Bobflannigon I think you may of got it :D  I've researched Phacelia (Campanularia) and think it's identical.  Heaven knows how it's got where it's growing but I hope it does well it's beautiful.  I think I may even pick some seed up for next year. Thanks so much.

    There’s already a seed pod on it, wait until it’s dry then save the seeds for next spring sowing.

    Aww Lyn thanks so much for this. I have only ever took seeds successfully from my poppies. I'l do that  :)
