Wisteria

I planted a healthy 4ft Wisteria climber two weeks ago, and have watered it every evening, but the leaves dried up like crisps and fell off. Is there any hope that it can still be alive.

That's surprising. Was there anything planted in the same place previously or is it in a pot?  Depending on where you bought it, you may be able to get a replacement or refund.  Having said that, my 9 year old wisteria, suddenly dropped all its flowers last week and some of the leaves like you say, have all curled up and look shrivelled. I can't see any aphids so don't know what is wrong but it's not lack of water.

One other thing has occurred to me, have you or any of your neighours been spraying weedkiller nearby?  Could it have drifted?
