Does anyone know what this is 😌 rescued it last year with lots of TLC

    They look like Pieris Japonica. If so, they need to be planted in ericaceous compost.

    Not sure that Pieris fit...leaves look rather long and deciduous.
    junearanne is this  plant in UK?
    Do you remember if it had leaves in the winter?

    Looks to be woody.
    Is it my imagination or can I see tiny flowers in the centre of the rosette of leaves.????
    if so please can you add a clear close up to this thread please.

    @Silver surfer If you haven't already done so click twice on the photo and you get a pretty good close up of the centre of the rosette of leaves. Hopefully that will help you.

  • silversurfer, yes there were pretty little yellow flower at centre early autumn, it is in UK with  pinky reddish smooth stems... I'd love to know what it is... hope this helps

    Goodness this is interesting.

    Is the pinky reddish smooth stem woody?
    Can you remember if the leaves dropped off in the winter?
    You say it flowers in the autumn yet there are flowers nestled in the leaves now in June.
    Do the flowers get bigger as summer progresses?
    Does it go on to produce berries/seed pods.?

    Am I seeing a white plant label behind it? Just hoping!
    This is going to bug me now!

    P.S.  Long shot....Would you please try breaking away a single leaf from the stem.
    Does it bleed white sap? 
    Do not touch the sap.
