Symphytum tuberosum gone mad

The previous owner of my house planted Symphytum tuberosum and it has gone wild taking over all my other plants. But every time I try to get rid of it, it comes back. How can I make sure it’s gone for good?

Cut it down. leave a couple of weeks. Spray all the regrowth with glyphosate. You may need to repeat a couple of weeks later.
