Buttercups!

Newbie Gardener!

Hi everyone,

Can anybody tell me what type of buttercup you might normally find on a lawn? The ones that stay very close to the ground?

I think you'd expect creeping buttercup - yes, the sort that stays close to the ground.  Taller sorts would get too tall and have their flowers mowed off.

Yes I agree with Liriodendron......Ranunculus repens...creeping buttercup.
