Couple of random IDs
So number 1 is currently growing out of the woodland next to my garden and displaying pea pods
Number 2 is a wildflower growing up on the grass next to the cricket pitch.
2 Reseda or mignonette
Scariff, County Clare, Ireland
I wonder if 2 is actually Weld or Dyers Weed, a wild flower closely related to Mignonette. Its roots used to be used for a bright yellow dye. Weld is Reseda luteola; mignonette, which has fatter flower stems, is Reseda odorata.
"The one who plants trees, knowing that he will never sit in their shade, has at least started to understand the meaning of life." Rabindranath Tagore
Thanks for the info. Pretty chuffed to find I have a laburnum sneaking into my garden.
I thought the Reseda looks really nice. Amazing to see it as a wild flower.
