The dog may have been kept off, but what about foxes?  There's foxes about in most places ... even towns.

We're in a small village so possible
I've heard of insects, grubs diseases, brown patch etc but I'm at a loss had bit more rain last night ground us moist but not saturated. I guy I know at Blenheim palace works on the gardens he did say possibly to much rain needs to dry a bit so the roots search for moisture if it's too wet it gets saturated. But one patch has started to grow back some green so I'm pretty stumped. I'm waiting for the turf company to get back to me to see if anyone else who bought lawn has had problems to eliviate the turf being bad.
    Also isn't grass resilient?
