Please help me identify this shrub

Hello,
please can you help me identify this? I'm wondering whether it's a spirea?

    yes, it's a Spiraea


    In the sticks near Peterborough

    spiraea douglasii. A bit of a weed IMHO. Send out runners and then is very hard to get rid of.

    Thank you both. It looks quite nice where it is and fills a gap so I think it can stay. I know what you mean though, it also pops up every now and then on my boundary, seemingly appearing from nowhere.

    I've just spent all day digging this up.we have a large gardeners year a few small shrubs  here and there  .this year it's every where I look! .
    Keep an eye on this shrub.it's not easy to remove!
