Down by the pond

ive had a quick look and I can’t see a thread just enjoying pictures and goings on at our garden ponds... if there is one please point me to it! Anyway, my pond is only about 6 months old so is still establishing, but we have frog and toad tadpoles busily growing legs and the dragon/damsels are moving in, we also got visited by a newt and lots of birds are enjoying it too. Took these while I stopped for a drink!

Nice and relaxing just watching pond life.

It great isn’t it, I have to pull myself away or I’d never get anything done! Besides some of the birds won’t bathe while I’m there, the blackbirds and robins do and the odd finch, but the sparrows and finches literally sit on the fence or in the trees giving me the evil eye lol!

I like to stop and look in the pond, fascinating isn’t it.
Is that tadpole being eaten 😢
Thats the only problem with the ponds, dragonfly larvae although being beautiful will eat all your tadpoles.
always food for something in there.

No it’s a dead hover fly being eaten by pond skaters and then the tadpole rocked up like Jaws lol!
