Help identifying weed that keeps returning

Hi,  this weed is taking over my garden.  I usually keep it under control with weed killer but it comes back a few weeks later.  I have left it for a while and it has gone wild.  Anyone know what it is and have any tips?

Can be a nightmare to deal.  Here's some info from the RHS that may help.

Normal weedkillers don't work well on this stuff, but bruising the weed first helps. There is a product called kurtail that does work but at over £40 a bottle it's expensive. You spray it on and quite soon the weed begins to look unwell. It then turns brown and crispy, but you have to leave it like that to allow the chemical to work through the roots.

Unfortunately it has a habit of popping up elsewhere the next year but it does decrease as long as you keep on top of it. It's a terrible problem to have.

Constant hoeing weakens it, but it depends how big a problem with it you have.
Watch out for the browny coloured 'fruiting bodies', which look like big candles [you'll recognise them if they appear] and need removing before they spread that lot as well.
