Fireball lily

Does anyone grow or ever grew fireball lily this is my first time, I was wondering when the bulb wakes up as mine are doing nothing at the moment.

    I've no idea why your bulb isn't growing right now ; what I do know is that Scadoxus require the brightest possible place , with a constant (min.20 C) at this time of year to induce growth ( in the daytime ) , with a coolish night following .
    A very sunny greenhouse receiving at least 8-hours of sunshine per day would probably be optimal .
    Keep the growing medium moist ; they can withstand long dry spells , but need moisture to grow well .

    PS     Just out of interest , where did you obtain the bulb from ?

    J Parkers I got six bulbs they have been kept in greenhouse so have had plenty of light and heat

    After waiting they have finally woke up and moving fast.

    This heat has probably helped !

    Saw some for sale in our local garden centre the other day ; in full flower but had been imported from Holland ; so ideal growing conditions then .
    The Dutch growers certainly 'know their stuff' ; good luck with yours . ;)
