Please help identify this for me

This is my first post on the Gardener's World forum, so I'd first like to say a big hello to everyone!
As a starting topic, I would like to ask if anybody can help identify this rapidly growing species that grows behind our fenceline?

It looks to me like Cornus sanguinea ... a UK native wild dogwood ... great for wildlife, pretty flowers, berries and great autumn colour if it gets enough sunshine
