Please help identify this for me

This is my first post on the Gardener's World forum, so I'd first like to say a big hello to everyone!

As a starting topic, I would like to ask if anybody can help identify this rapidly growing species that grows behind our fenceline?

Hello and welcome aboard Paul 

It looks to me like Cornus sanguinea ... a UK native wild dogwood ... great for wildlife, pretty flowers, berries and great autumn colour if it gets enough sunshine

Thank you Dovefromabove, I was worried about it being some form of knotweed like the mile-a-minute vine as it's grown so quickly.  You've put my mind at ease there, thanks
